Looking for a talented Real Estate Operations Manager to run our Settlements Department, overseeing all property acquisitions and outsale closings. Competitive salary, great benefits, great people, casual dress, free snacks/drinks, work hard / play hard environment.  Over the past several months, House Buyers’ growth and profitability have continued to increase exponentially – to the tune of 26% sales growth in Q1 of 2020 when compared Q1 of 2019.  Even during the COVID-19 lockdowns this year, our margins have grown 55% from Jan - May 2020 compared to 2019.  In Q3 2020 vs. Q3 2019: Gross Margin % increased by 80%, Ratified Acquisitions increased by 18%, and Ratified Outsales increased by 19%.  The company has recently embarked on a robust, multi-level television advertising campaign that has generated significant results, in the form of increased acquisitions, brand recognition, and sales.

Summary:   The Real Estate Operations Manager will be responsible for supervising all staff in the Settlements Department while ensuring that all acquired properties go to market and settlement in a smooth and timely fashion.  The Real Estate Operations Manager will be responsible for creating a high level of customer service within the Settlements Department by developing appropriate processes and procedures.  This position is for a player/coach, someone who will be coaching the team while managing his/her own set of properties concurrently.  The Real Estate Operations Manager will create a team environment and collaborate with the Sales Department to ensure clear communication and a positive environment.  This position is fast-paced and requires significant multi-tasking. 


  • Responsible for supervising and training Settlement Coordinators/Processors.
  • Manage personnel functions (hiring, firing, performance tracking) for the Settlements Department.
  • Create a high level of customer service through aggressive follow up with customers.
  • Audit Settlement files to ensure that processes and procedures are being followed.
  • Review contracts and ensure proper contract ratification.
  • Ensure that all House Buyers’ customers receive a high degree of customer service. 
  • Develop settlement processes and training to ensure that all Settlement team members are proactive in resolving customer problems and settlement delays.
  • Interact and coordinate with Construction Department to ensure that properties settle in a timely fashion.
  • Get properties on market by obtaining permission from occupants; obtaining keys; ensuring the placement of lockboxes and signs; and by listing the properties in the MLS.
  • Reviewing HUD Settlement statements prior to settlement and ensure accuracy.
  • Assist in the company’s market expansion by conducting new market research, locating and retaining new title companies, etc.
  • Help foster a positive, team environment at House Buyers.
  • Function as a player/coach, manager your own portfolio of properties while managing work from other team members.  Review and enter contracts into House Buyers’ database.  Manage all addendums and contracts to ensure proper contract ratification.  Walk your houses through the entire process from contract ratification to settlement.
  • Manage relationships and settlements process with title company.  Ensure that settlements are being processed properly and in a timely fashion.
  • Make regular phone calls to Realtors, lenders, buyers and seller to ensure a smooth settlement process.
  • Assist with marketing properties, including preparing flyers and listing properties in the MLS and other advertising mediums.
  • Manage House Buyers’ rental properties.
  • Anything else necessary to help the company meet its goals.  Being a dynamic, fast-growing company, expect a lot of changes and to be wearing multiple hats.



  • Minimum 2 years management experience in the settlement/title industry; total of 5+ years in the real estate industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Computer skills: Must have good computer skills, be a quick learner, and be proficient with Microsoft Office.
